We decided this weekend is the trip to IKEA since we're getting close to having the room painted. I put another coat on the accent wall tonight. Hopefully I'll get the ceiling painted tomorrow and then start on the other walls.
An IKEA trip means I actually had to know what I wanted for my wardrobe. Using the handy-dandy room planner on IKEA's website, this is close to what I'll be getting. This was easy enough that I could be an interior designer.
Doors closed:
And Voila! Doors open. (That is our bed and headboard as well, but they'll be painted to match the rest of the room. It's not quite cool enough to put paint on the walls or bedding. I'll have to write their software guy.
The inside will have one full-length clothes rail, one half-length clothes rail, pant hangers, a shoe rack, three drawers, a locking jewelry box, vanity mirror, several shelves and two wire baskets. Each unit will also have a light. We have storage under the bed for sweaters and such, so John can have the dresser. I am incredibly excited to have all of my clothes in one room and easy to access! It's every girl's dream. Short of having a walk-in closet with a dressing room, that is.
